The Stepping Hill Hospital, located in Stockport forms part of the London deanery ophthalmology rotation. The hospital has the following special clinics: laser, macular, medical retina, paediatric ophthalmology, ocular motility, oculoplastic, cornea, vitreoretinal and botulinum toxin. Sub-specialty training includes retinal medicine, cornea, oculoplastic lid surgery, paediatrics, oculo-motility and vitreoretinal. Postgraduate teaching consists of one half-day session per week at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital for all junior staff and periodic tutorials at Victoria Hospital. The Stepping Hill Hospital is currently staffed by 5 consultants.
